EventChatter beta available
April 8, 2009
EventChatter is a new service that allows Twitter users to be a part of conversations around events they are attending, without having to endlessly tag or add keywords to every message.
Rather than holding a private beta, we decided to put up an early beta version and allow anyone to try it out. While we haven’t officially launched or announced anything, the service is up and running.
We will likely launch the service officially in a week once we get the service a tad more polished. In the mean time, enjoy, and we hope this solves a big problem a lot of Twitter users face when attending or participating in the same event.

Giving it a try. Like the concept but it would be cool to let me join from twitter.
Messages also seem to be showing up twice right now on the live view…

Gopal, thanks for checking out the beta. We’re working on a bunch of things right now, including a mobile version, a widget to embed events on other sites, and some clever ways to let you find and join events from Twitter.
We’re looking into why messages are showing up twice, thanks for the heads up.
